  • Monica Neuman is an associate in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP and is based in the Firm’s Boston office.  She focuses her practice on the representation of a wide range of clients, including tax-exempt hospital systems, academic medical centers, pharmaceutical companies, and physician practice groups.  She provides regulatory and transactional representation to such clients in connection with acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic affiliations, conversions to tax-exempt status, and other transactional matters.  She has routinely served as special health care counsel on national acquisitions advising on state licensure and determination of need law.  Recent experience includes state regulatory change of ownership proceedings for hospitals, and nursing home chains in “going private” transactions.
