Nikolay Balayan is an associate in the Business Law Department with Foley & Lardner LLP. Nikolay is based in the New York office where he is a member of the firm’s Transactions Practice Group.
Prior to joining Foley, Nikolay worked as a managing director for Blue River where he was involved with many different tasks such as working with investment advisers and their counsel on private equity and hedge fund launches and reviewing and providing comments on private placement memoranda and various contacts. He also has experience as a law clerk in two separate firms based in Dallas as well as to the Honorable Chief Judge William F. Downes for the U.S. Federal District Court for the District of Wyoming. Lastly, Nikolay was an associate for a legal service in Russia where he conducted civil cases, drafted legal documents and opinions, and consulted clients.
