Professional Biography

Sheehan Band works with clients from all over the world who are involved in litigation or who are being investigated by a government body. He understands the workings of the financial industry and provides informed insights that can lead to better outcomes for clients. Sheehan also serves as a co-chair of the Committee for Racial and Ethnic Diversity (CRED) and maintains an active pro bono practice, with a focus on wrongful conviction work.

A narrow focus produces a broader understanding

By focusing on financial services litigation, he is able to provide banks, brokers, traders and others who are facing investigations by the SEC, CFTC or DOJ or complex class-action lawsuits with effective solutions to a wide range of challenges. Sheehan builds personal relationships with all of his clients and understands their individualized needs and concerns. He embraces his role as a trusted advisor in order to explain litigation strategies and legal concepts in ways that make sense to each client.

In addition, Sheehan's attention to detail assures that every single motion, brief, memo or other correspondence he produces advocates as strongly as possible for the client's position.

During law school, he was an associate editor for The University of Pennsylvania Journal of Business Law and 1L admissions chair of the Penn Law South Asian Law Students Association. He also received a certificate of study in Business Economics and Public Policy at the Wharton School, and represented indigent clients through Penn Law's Civil Practice Clinic.
