Stephen W. Tang is an associate in the Intellectual Property Practice Group in the firm's Silicon Valley office and focuses on intellectual property litigation matters.

Areas of Practice

Stephen has worked on inter partes review proceedings, district court litigation, and Section 337 investigations in cases involving technologies including cellphone applications, electronic and medical devices, digital rights management, and optical communication systems. 

Stephen was an extern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in San Francisco. He was also a clinical intern at the USC Intellectual Property and Technology Law Clinic and worked on trademark applications, licensing agreements, and publishing agreements.

Prior to law practice, Stephen was an engineer in the semiconductor industry for over a decade, working with fabless semiconductor companies, foundries, product testing facilities, and value chain aggregators, on technologies related to FPGAs and integrated circuits.
