Equitable Distribution: Dividing Assets and Debts in a Divorce - Podcast

On December 28th, 2013 I hosted “Power of Attorney,” a 30-minute educational program on 1500 AM focused on legal developments effecting individuals and businesses.  I discussed the process of dividing assets and debts in a divorce, known as “equitable distribution.”   Is inheritance separate property?  What happens if my premarital monies were commingled with marital monies?  Will all of the assets be divided 50/50?  All of these questions and more are answered in the broadcast.

In the second half of the show, my special guest is real estate appraiser Kim Bradley, who discusses the fascinating process of how homes are appraised.
