Senate Legislative Activity

On Monday, May 11, the Senate will convene at 3:00pm. Following any Leaders remarks, the Senate will be in a period of morning businesses, with Senators permitted to speak for up to 10 minutes each. At 5:00pm, there will be up to 30 minutes of debate prior to a roll call vote on adoption of S.Con.Res.16, which lays out U.S. policy regarding the release of America citizens in Iran. If all time is used, a vote will occur at approximately 5:30pm.

House Legislative Activity

On Monday, May 11, the House is not in session. On Tuesday, May 12, the House will meet at 12:00pm in for morning hour and at 2:00pm for legislative business, with votes postponed until 6:30pm. The House will consider H.R. 1732 – Regulatory Integrity Protection Act of 2015, Rules Committee Print (Structured Rule), which provides for one hour of general debate and makes in order the following amendments:

• Donna Edwards’ (D-MD) Amendment (10 minutes of debate); and
• Dan Kildee’s (D-MI) Amendment (10 minutes of debate)

Additionally, the following legislation will be considered under suspension of the rules:

1. H.R. 665 – Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu National Blue Alert Act of 2015;
2. H.R. 606 – Don’t Tax Our Fallen Public Safety Heroes Act;
3. H.R. 2146 – Defending Public Safety Employees Retirement Act; and
4. H.R. 723 – Fallen Heroes Flag Act of 2015

On Wednesday, May 13, and Thursday, May 14, the House will meet at 10:00am for morning hour and at 12:00pm for legislative businesses. On Friday, May 15, the House will meet at 9:00am for legislative business, with votes expected by 3:00pm. The House will consider:

1. H.R. 1735 – National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016, Rules Committee Print (Subject to a Rule);
2. H.R. 36 – Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (Subject to a Rule); and
3. H.R. 2048- USA FREEDOM Act of 2015

Additionally, the House may consider:

1. Legislation Related to the Iran Nuclear Agreement Review Act
