Professional Biography

Alisa V. Sherbow is an associate in the Labor and Employment Practice Group within the firm's New York office.

Alisa crafts creative and robust legal solutions to clients’ most complex and challenging legal employment problems across industries and capacities. She regularly assists clients’ human resource professionals, management, and in-house counsel to provide consultation, advice, and training on all matters having labor and employment implications.

In her advisory capacity, Alisa regularly assists clients on various matters including: harassment, discrimination, and retaliation; conducting internal investigations; drafting policies, employee handbooks, and various employment agreements; conducting client trainings; and providing comprehensive COVID-19 guidance.

Alisa’s litigation work includes various domains of agency-related, arbitral, and judicial disputes and related matters. Chiefly, she often handles matters involving: discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination; wage and hour violations; pay equity claims; disability issues under the ADA and corresponding state laws; and trade secret misappropriation, unfair competition, and enforcement of restrictive covenants. She represents employers in both single plaintiff and collective action cases.

Alisa takes client service to heart, using her past experience to inform her understanding of each client’s business, goals and individualized service needs. She understands the contextual role of legal services within each client’s overall “big picture” business objectives, and carefully develops her legal approach for each client’s needs accordingly. She has successfully served Fortune 500 companies and employers of all sizes across industries like financial services, blockchain and cryptocurrency, healthcare, retail, and private equity.
