Carmen C. Chan advises and represents registered and unregistered investment companies and their advisors on a wide range of legal, regulatory, and transactional matters, including fund formation, ongoing compliance, and corporate governance.
Carmen received her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, where she was active in the school’s Community Business Clinic providing free legal advice to non-profit organizations and low net-worth entrepreneurs. As a student, Carmen served as a legal intern for the Office of the General Counsel at both Partners HealthCare and Northeastern University. She was also a summer associate at another large Boston firm, and a judicial intern to Magistrate Judge Marianne B. Bowler of the U.S. District Court of the District of Massachusetts.
