Claire R. Pitre

Claire is an associate in the New Orleans office of Ogletree Deakins where she represents employers of all sizes in state and federal court litigation and administrative proceedings. Prior to joining Ogletree, Claire represented various private and quasi-public entities in a variety of litigation matters including labor and employment, construction, complex commercial litigation, and environmental litigation. Additionally, Claire has experience in defending EEOC investigations, FLSA, ADEA, ADA, WARN, Title VII, and Section 1983 lawsuits.

Prior to and during night school at Loyola University, College of Law, Claire served as the Director of Health and Safety for a commercial diving company in the Gulf of Mexico and in Mobile, Alabama during the BP Oil Spill. In addition to gaining valuable expertise in OSHA and U.S. Coast Guard regulations, Claire gained unique insight into the day-to-day operations of the oil and gas industry, which has been invaluable in her current practice.

Originally from Houma, Louisiana, Claire has deep roots in South Louisiana, and enjoys spending her time off on the bayou or volunteering at the National World War II Museum.
