Professional Biography

Denise Mariani is a Shareholder and Chair of the Nursing Home Negligence litigation group. For over 20 years, she has fought tirelessly to defend the rights of those who have been injured or killed through the negligence of others. As the Chair of the Nursing Home Negligence litigation group, Ms. Mariani has found her passion representing the families of residents and patients who, through negligence or abuse, have died or been seriously injured in a long-term care facility.

A native of Trenton, Ms. Mariani is committed to advocacy on behalf of women and other underserved constituencies whose causes need a voice. She is currently a Board Member on the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce’s “Women in Business Alliance,” where she has served on the subcommittee to plan the New Jersey Conference for Women. Ms. Mariani is also actively involved with the Trenton Catholic Academy’s annual “Celebrating Iron Mikes” Gala, which honors individuals for their service to Trenton Catholic Academy and recognizes them for their dedication to the students of TCA. She also chaired the Community Projects Committee of the Mercer County Bar Association for many years, leading various charitable events and fundraisers throughout the County.

Prior to joining Stark & Stark, Ms. Mariani served as judicial law clerk to The Honorable Paul T. Koenig and The Honorable Linda R. Feinberg of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Chancery Division-Family Part. She also served as a certified legal intern in the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office in Trenton, New Jersey and the Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
