Elizabeth T. Jozsi

Professional Biography

Elizabeth Jozsi is an associate in the Tampa office, where she represents employers in labor and employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and whistleblowing cases. She also provides counsel regarding handbooks, employment policies, employment and separation agreements, and general employment advice. Elizabeth has extensive experience defending her clients before federal and state courts as well as before administrative agencies.

Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Elizabeth worked as a judicial law clerk for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida where she gained experience working on complex federal cases. Following the clerkship, she joined a small law firm in Lake County, Florida where she represented the largest employer in the county, as well as small businesses, on a variety of employment matters. She also gained public sector experience as she served as co-counsel for the Lake County School Board for four years. Elizabeth also has federal agency experience, working at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of General Counsel’s office as a summer law clerk during law school.

Elizabeth is admitted to practice in all Florida courts as well as the U.S. District Court, for the Southern, Middle, and Northern Districts of Florida. She also is an adjunct professor at Florida Southern College in the Barney Barnett School of Business.

Elizabeth earned her Bachelor’s degree at Duke University, and graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Elizabeth was an executive editor of the Journal of Law and Public Policy, was a member of the Environmental Moot Court Team, and studied abroad in Costa Rica.
