Emily L. Cooke

Emily Cooke’s practice focuses on commercial transactions, compliance, and corporate governance for a range of clients, including small businesses, banks, health care organizations, insurance industry participants, educational institutions, and nonprofit entities.

Emily specializes in preparing, negotiating, and interpreting commercial agreements.  Her work in this area includes designing template customer and vendor agreements for businesses large and small, drafting online terms and conditions for startups, and negotiating institutional outsourcing agreements for large financial institutions.  Emily also counsels clients on existing contractual arrangements, including potential disputes.  Emily believes a client’s individual business priorities and risk tolerance are key drivers of contracting strategy, and that practical guidance is as valuable as legal advice.
