Erica Youngerman is a member of the firm's Health Law Group. She focuses her practice in the areas of health law and health care business transactions. She regularly advises a wide array of health care entities, including hospitals, health systems, hospice and home care companies, and physician groups, as well as individual health care professionals, on transactional, regulatory, and general corporate matters.
Erica counsels clients on corporate transactions, including contracting and the purchase and sale of health care entities and their assets.
Erica performs regulatory analysis and advises clients on proposed and existing corporate structures, relationships, and agreements to assess their compliance with state and federal laws and regulations, including the Stark law, the anti-kickback statute, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
She served as an intern with the Honorable Jeffrey S. Brown and the Honorable James P. McCormack, justices of the Nassau County Supreme Court. She also completed an internship with the Nassau County District Attorney's Office.
