Kahn Hobbs concentrates his practice on structured finance, primarily focusing on commercial mortgaged-backed securitization transactions and re-securitization transactions, as well as advising lenders and servicers in connection with the workout and restructuring of securitized and other financial assets.

He has broad experience representing issuers, underwriters, mortgage loan sellers and servicers in various types of public and private securitizations. Kahn also has experience in work-outs of non-performing commercial mortgage loans in CMBS transactions and in other distressed asset sales, as well as extensive experience negotiating and drafting securitization offering documents, pooling and servicing agreements, underwriting agreements, mortgage loan and other asset sale agreements.

Prior to joining Cadwalader, Kahn was the Director of Treasury and Financial Analysis with Safety-Kleen Corp. He received his B.S. from Colorado State University, his M.B.A. in International Business and Finance from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina, and his J.D., magna cum laude, from The South Carolina School of Law, where he was a member of the editorial board of the South Carolina Law Review.
