Kevin R. McDermott is a partner in the Columbus, Ohio, office of Barnes & Thornburg and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. Mr. McDermott focuses his practice on commercial litigation, constitutional law, securities litigation and business torts. He counsels clients in a variety of industries including real estate, finance, healthcare and construction.

Mr. McDermott has more than 30 years of experience resolving disputes before courts, administrative agencies, arbitration tribunals and mediations. Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Mr. McDermott was a partner at Schottenstein Zox & Dunn, where he previously chaired the litigation department.

Having received numerous awards and recognitions over the years, Mr. McDermott is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers; Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation; and has served on the Ohio State Advisory Committee for the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights.
