Leighton Allen is an associate and Intellectual Property attorney with Foley & Lardner LLP. Leighton is based in the Chicago office where he is a member of the Technology Transaction & Outsourcing Practice Group.
Prior to Foley, Leighton was a cybersecurity and data privacy associate at a litigation firm in Chicago where he counseled small and large entities, including merchants, health systems, hospitals, accounting and consulting firms, and educational institutions on identifying, evaluating, and managing first and third-party data privacy and security risks. Additional responsibilities included analysis of compliance responsibilities under HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA, and related state, federal, and international cybersecurity laws and regulations.
