Michael Campbell is a partner in the Grand Rapids, Michigan, office of Barnes & Thornburg LLP where he is a member of the Corporate Department and co-chair of the firm's Lending & Structured Finance Practice Group. Mr. Campbell concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial and real estate financing, including commercial loan documentation, real estate and construction lending and tax exempt financing. He also represents clients in mergers and acquisition and general corporate matters.
Mr. Campbell is a member of the State Bar of Michigan (Business and Tax Section and Real Estate Section), and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He currently serves on several committees for the Grand Rapids Bar Association. He is vice president and serves on the board of directors of Legal Aid of West Michigan.
Mr. Campbell attended the University of Notre Dame where he graduated with honors in 1976 with a B.B.A. in finance. He received his J.D. from the University of Michigan in 1979 and a M.B.A. in finance from Michigan State University in 1983.
