Sean Jones focuses his practice on securities, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate law. Mr. Jones represents a broad range of public and private companies in a variety of securities, merger and acquisition, and financing matters. His experience extends across a number of industries ranging from traditional manufacturing and distribution businesses to information services and technology companies. He has extensive experience representing public companies in debt and equity capital markets transactions.
Mr. Jones has received numerous professional awards and recognitions, including Best Lawyers in America Charlotte “Lawyer of the Year” in Securities/Capital Markets Law for 2017 and 2019, and Securities Regulation for 2016 and 2020.
Mr. Jones also has extensive corporate governance experience and regularly advises public companies and their boards of directors. In addition to lecturing and authoring articles for seminars and presentations, Mr. Jones served as an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina Central University School of Law from 2006 through 2011 where he taught an advanced business law seminar. Mr. Jones previously served as managing partner of the Charlotte office for seven years.
