Steven’s broad-ranging experience with immigration practice stems from his work within institutions of higher education and the federal government prior to joining Ogletree Deakins. His practice focuses on business immigration matters, representing companies and individuals in the academic, medical and high-tech fields. 

Mr. Williams manages green card processes for higher education institutions, large and small companies, and individuals for a variety of categories, including individuals of extraordinary ability, outstanding professors and researchers, and multinational managers (EB-1), individuals whose work is in the national interest (EB-2) and professionals who qualify for PERM Labor Certification-based filings (EB-2 and EB-3). He also assists companies and individuals with obtaining temporary visas, including O, L, H, E, and B. Mr. Williams has particular expertise in assisting students and scholars in resolving issues with their F student visas and J exchange visitor
