Covington's Medical Device Webinar Series - Top 10 Things You Should Know About the GDPR
Please join us on May 30, 2018 for "Top 10 Things You Should Know About the GDPR," the next installment of our monthly series of webinars directed to issues and developments in the law that affect the medical device industry. These free and informative presentations by Covington lawyers will be held once a month at 9 am PT/12 pm ET. Each webinar will be approximately one hour in length. CLE credit will be offered.
Over the past two years, clients throughout the world have been working to prepare for the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") that comes into effect May 25. They are paying attention because the GDPR purports to apply extra-territorially in ways that capture additional activity, imposes a number of new obligations with respect to personal data, and dramatically increases regulatory penalties and litigation exposure. Five days after its implementation, this presentation will recap the most important things to be aware of about GDPR when working with clients in the medical device industry.
The webinar will be led by Libbie Canter.
