Energy Breakfast Roundtable: How California and China are working towards a low carbon energy future: What this partnership means in the run-up to the 2015 climate change negotiations

Virtual Panel, Hosted By Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP

Monday, September 28, 2015 - 5:00 AM

Please join Morgan Lewis and the China-U.S. Energy Efficiency Alliance for a vibrant Energy Breakfast Roundtable discussion about collaborative activities between the United States and China to support a low carbon future, the important role for clean energy and energy efficiency in reducing greenhouse gases and harmful air pollutants, and the opportunities for U.S. cleantech businesses interested in the Chinese market.

Barbara Finamore, co-founder and President of the China-U.S. Energy Efficiency Alliance, will discuss China’s recent Power Sector Reforms and what these mean in the context of bilateral climate change agreements between the United States and China.

Brian Peck, Deputy Director for International Affairs and Business Development in the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), will address how cooperative activities between California and China promote low carbon development and present opportunities for U.S. cleantech companies seeking to do business in China.

Both speakers will also discuss how State and national low carbon activities are contributing to the upcoming climate change negotiations (COP21) in Paris this December.
