The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the legal definition/characteristics of an independent contractor, how to bolster an independent contractor classification, what ancillary documents should be revised or tailored to support the same, and how to fix an erroneous classification. Additionally, this presentation will discuss how to respond if a governmental agency or employee asks questions with respect to a classification.
