RSVP to Strategic Partnerships and Deals for Cardiology and Vascular Practices: Is a Partnership Right for My Group?

Webinar, Hosted By Epstein Becker & Green, P.C.

Thursday, May 19, 2022 - 2:00 PM

There were over 400 specialty physician groups that entered into strategic partnership transactions during 2021 with healthcare investors, a 90% increase over each of the prior several years.

The “newest” physician specialties that have attracted investor attention are cardiology and vascular practices, with five active platforms now, which is expected to double to ten over the next 12-18 months. As we have seen in other specialties, there is a premium value placed on early entrants to market.

These partnerships can be very lucrative to physicians, but a transaction is not right for every group. It is important, at a minimum, for physicians to explore the terms of a potential deal before deciding if it’s right for their particular practice.

Join interventional cardiologist Jeffrey Carr, healthcare investment banker Robert Goettling, and physician transactions attorney Gary Herschman for this educational discussion on cardiology and vascular transactions.

This webinar will educate cardiologists and vascular surgeons on various topics relating to this trend, including:

  • Why so many cardiology and vascular practices are exploring and will be entering into strategic investor transactions, including numerous macro- and microeconomic factors

  • Why cardiology and vascular practices are highly valued in this “super-hot” market

  • The pros and cons of entering into these transactions, and how to best protect the interests of physicians in both the short and long term.

  • How to unwind “PSAs” with hospitals, to enable groups to benefit from these much more lucrative investor partnership transactions.
