The area of real estate law is highly litigated, and it is subject to many different types of law. State and federal law, tax law, lending laws, environmental laws, and possible links to Tribal-law, depending on location, are just a few of the different topics which one has to consider with real estate concerns. The National Law Review covers these, and other news, legislation, and litigation, as it relates to real estate law.

With the new tax-law which took effect late in 2017, property owners should also familiarize themselves with property taxes, deductions, and federal and state implications.
