Ashley B. Sawyer concentrates her practice primarily on tax-efficient estate planning with an emphasis on each client’s non-tax objectives. She also engages in probate administration, trust administration, and residential real estate matters.
Ashley works with clients throughout the estate planning process. She regularly counsels clients on estate, gift and generation-skipping transfer tax matters, and assists business owners with the inter-generational transfer of their business interests. Ashley advises clients on funding their estate plans, including revocable and irrevocable trusts; provides recommendations regarding the distribution of assets not governed by will; and serves as a liaison with clients’ financial advisors to implement these recommendations. She also handles the administration of irrevocable life insurance trusts, grantor-retained annuity trusts and other irrevocable grantor trusts, and assists clients with implementing their philanthropic goals through charitable planning techniques.
