Brian A. Aslin is an associate in the Austin office of Ogletree Deakins where he represents employers in state and federal court from the outset of litigation through appeal.

An experienced trial attorney, Brian defends employers in non-compete, non-solicitation, and trade secret disputes as well as in discrimination, retaliation, and harassment matters arising under Title VII, the ADA, FMLA, ADEA, and Chapter 21 of the Texas Labor Code. He also has considerable experience representing institutions of higher education in Title IX, Title VI, and tenure denial cases.

Before joining Ogletree Deakins, Brian was an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Texas where his practice focused on employment and civil rights litigation. At the Office of the Attorney General, he obtained successful results for clients at jury trial, appellate oral argument, mediation, and in hearings on temporary restraining orders, temporary injunctions, and dispositive motions.

Brian previously served as an Assistant District Attorney where he gained significant first-chair jury trial experience and was a trial court chief.

Brian earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Barristers, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance with a Minor in Religion from Baylor University.
