Christian Carey’s practice focuses on complex claims resolution and corporate insolvency reorganizations involving mass tort and bankruptcy-related insurance litigation. He has represented debtors, trustees, creditor committees and defendants from myriad industries in all stages of complex bankruptcy proceedings.

Prior to joining Gilbert, Christian clerked for the Honorable Sean H. Lane of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and was an associate at a nationally recognized boutique bankruptcy firm in Manhattan.

Christian received his law degree from the University of Michigan, where he was president of the Bankruptcy Law Society and executive production editor of the Michigan Telecommunications & Technology Law Review. Prior to law school, Christian served as an extern for the Honorable Carol S.M. Wells of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and assisted low-income populations file voluntary Chapter 7 petitions at the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project in Philadelphia.
