Claire Dimmock

Professional Biography

Claire is a professional support lawyer within the Pensions Practice. In this position, Claire keeps up to date with legislation and case law, and provides updates and training to her colleagues in the Pensions team. She also assists with the drafting of publications for the Pensions team and preparation of standard form pension documents.

Before becoming a professional support lawyer, Claire practised as a solicitor for 12 years advising clients on a range of pensions related matters, including the pensions aspects of share sales and business acquisitions, pension plan de-mergers, pension warranty disputes, group restructurings, pension plan liability reduction measures, the provision of pension arrangements for former public sector employees, sex discrimination and equal treatment issues, excepted group life assurance schemes, pensions automatic enrolment and lifetime allowance issues.

Claire has also had a particular focus on re-documenting pension plans and providing pensions training to new pension plan trustees and in-house legal teams.

Prior to becoming a pensions lawyer, Claire spent 10 years as a legal executive and paralegal in the Corporate team of Squire Paton Boggs.

Claire is a full member of the Association of Pension Lawyers.
