Professional Biography

Daniel Bernard is an associate and litigation lawyer with Foley & Lardner LLP based in the firm’s New York office where he is a member of the Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice.

Dan began his career with Foley as a summer associate where he worked in the firm’s Litigation Department.

During law school, Dan was a research assistant for Professor Paul Radvany in the Securities Litigation and Arbitration Clinic at Fordham, where he represented individual investors in claims against brokers engaging in unsuitable investment practices. Dan was also chapter president of the Unemployment Action Center where he trained advocates to represent unemployment benefits claimants at Department of Labor hearings.

Prior to law school, Dan worked at Morgan Stanley as a human resources associate in the talent management group. He managed a firmwide training rollout, developed materials for regulatory meetings, and prepared executive-level presentations regarding culture, diversity and employee engagement. Dan was also a compensation & business analytics analyst covering Morgan Stanley's wealth management business.

While a student at Cornell University, Dan was an Employment and Disability Institute global service intern at the Ministry of Justice in Jerusalem, Israel, where he worked with Israeli organizations to develop best practices for employing people with disabilities.
