David R. Konkel

Professional Biography

David Konkel is an associate in the Litigation Practice Group in the Milwaukee office.

David represents a broad range of clients in a variety of complex commercial disputes including: insurance trade practices, insurance coverage and bad faith defense, theft of proprietary information, fraudulent transfers, real estate litigation, class action defense, securities fraud, contract actions, and business torts. David has litigated in state and federal court in Wisconsin, as well as in other states across the country.

David also maintains an active estate, trust, and fiduciary litigation practice. He represents trust companies, other fiduciaries, and family members in disputes arising from the planning and administration of trusts and estates. He has represented clients in proceedings related to fiduciary liability, fiduciary removal, undue influence, lack of testamentary capacity, and trust construction.

Prior to joining Godfrey & Kahn, David was a judicial clerk to the Honorable William C. Griesbach in the Eastern District of Wisconsin. During law school, he served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Thomas S. Zilly in the Western District of Washington and as a law clerk at the Washington State Attorney General’s Office in Seattle, Washington.

Prior to law school, David served on active duty in the United States Army as a Human Intelligence Collector. His awards include the Bronze Star, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, and two Army Commendation Medals.
