Eduardo Ayala Maura was born in Lima-Peru. Prior to his legal career he was a consecrated lay in the Catholic church where he held positions of leadership and studied theology and philosophy.

In 2002, he left his religious life and immigrated to the United States to start anew. He worked in the restaurant industry as a waiter, driver, cook, and restaurant manager before opening his own restaurant in 2005. In 2007 after his business suffered the impact of the financial crisis, he decided to go back to school to Florida International University where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 2008 and his Juris Doctor Degree in 2011.

After graduation he worked for large and medium civil litigation firms before opening Ayala Law PA in February 2013. Ayala Law PA is a small law firm in Miami focused in consumer and commercial litigation and immigration. Initially focused on immigration, his practice expanded to plaintiff civil litigation, including handling large consumer class actions in state and federal court. Maura is also trial lawyer. He has successfully tried cases to verdict in Florida courts.
