Professional Biography

Eleanor handles complex litigation and appeals in the areas of health care litigation, health care fraud and abuse, long-term care, and federal and state False Claims Act matters. She is particularly knowledgeable in the areas of data protection and privacy, managed care, long-term care survey and inspection, and the liability of health care professionals. Health care clients value her ability to translate complex legal concepts into common-sense, plain English.

Before joining Epstein Becker Green, Eleanor worked as a litigator at a regional law firm handling every part of the litigation process, from dispositive motions to appellate argument, in issues of medical malpractice and nursing home abuse and neglect. She is skilled at managing complex discovery, identifying discovery problems, and creating advantageous solutions, and has achieved major lower and appellate court victories.

While working toward her law degree, Eleanor completed a legal internship at the National Institutes of Health’s National Human Genome Research Institute, where she analyzed federal and state law to determine ownership interests in genomic data and samples, as well as a clerkship at the U.S. Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division, where she supported high-profile environmental litigation.

Prior to law school, Eleanor spent five years as a medical administrator, where she led a private medical practice’s transition to electronic medical records and oversaw coding and billing. Before that, she journeyed to South Korea on a Fulbright Scholarship. She speaks conversational Korean.
