Jeff Ranck is a registered patent attorney with both private practice and corporate experience, including an international assignment.  His corporate and private practice experience gives a depth to his practice that allows him to work with clients on portfolio strategy and utilization as well as patent prosecution.  His technical expertise and practice areas include telecommunications, digital signal processing, electronics, computer hardware and software, security, encryption, mechanical, and medical devices.  Jeff’s corporate experience includes 14 years working for Microsoft, two of which were spent in India.  His technical experience includes 10 years with General Dynamics/Hughes Aircraft.  Jeff has spoken widely on software protection and patent portfolio strategy and management and is active in the Electronics and Computer Law committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
