Jay Adams is a partner in the firm's Tax & Estates Practice Group. For over twenty-five years, Mr. Adams has represented clients in matters involving practically every type of state and local tax in a number of states and local jurisdictions. He is a frequent speaker to a variety of professional organizations, including the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, the Council on State Taxation, and the Tax Executives Institute. He has successfully represented clients in many landmark Louisiana tax cases before the Louisiana Supreme Court and Courts of Appeal, including International Paper Company v. Bridges, in which the Louisiana Supreme Court issued a ruling that has resulted in tax savings of tens of millions of dollars for Louisiana businesses.
