Katie (Kathleen) Roney is an associate in the San Francisco, California, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. A former company general counsel, Katie represents employers across a wide range of industries with respect to various employment law matters, including discrimination, harassment and wrongful termination claims.
Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Katie served as general counsel for a mid-sized tech company transitioning out of its start-up phase. There, she oversaw the implementation of federally compliant payroll and human resources policies and handled a full range of employment matters. In addition to employment law, she has significant experience in complex litigation, including class actions and commercial contract disputes. She also has a background in construction law.
While attending law school, Katie was editor-in-chief of the East Asia Law Review (now, the Asian Law Review) and represented clients in immigration proceedings through Penn’s Transnational Legal Clinic.
