Kelly’s practice encompasses all aspects of brand management, including domestic and international trademark clearance, registration, and enforcement. When litigation is necessary, Kelly assists clients with disputes, including trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and trademark litigation in federal court. In addition, Kelly prepares and negotiates intellectual property agreements, counsels businesses on website development and social media issues, and assists them with assessing product packaging for compliance.
In General. Kelly received her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in journalism and communication studies from Duquesne University. She earned her law degree, cum laude, from Boston University School of Law, where she was an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar. While in law school, Kelly served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Donetta W. Ambrose of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and a law clerk at the Federal Communications Commission. In her free time, Kelly enjoys playing the cello and has performed with local community orchestras.
