Many families have similar concerns: providing for loved ones, charitable planning, and preserving wealth by minimizing transfer taxes and protecting assets. Lucy helps design plans for relatives with special needs, address particular assets (such as artwork or substantial retirement benefits), plan with family investment entities, address cross-border tax and planning issues, prepare estate and gift tax returns, work with appraisers to value closely held companies, and prepare prenuptial agreements. An important and gratifying part of this work is to educate clients by distilling and illustrating complex ideas.
