Marie Figueiredo serves as coverage counsel for international and domestic insurers in connection with a broad range of professional and specialty lines of coverage, including D&O, EPL, E&O, LPL, and miscellaneous professional liability for financial institutions and nonprofits. Marie’s retention as coverage counsel also extends to first- and third-party claims arising under cyber and tech E&O policies.

Marie analyzes, manages, monitors and resolves professional lines claims for insurers based in the United States, London and Bermuda. She advises insurance carriers on a wide range of liability and coverage issues, including breach response and other sensitive situations arising from the misuse of computers and related technology, to mitigate and reduce loss exposure while identifying and prioritizing each client’s business interests and goals. 

Marie also serves as immediate data breach counsel for clients who experience cyber-security incidents, and is called on to tactfully advise and guide clients through stages of forensic analysis, necessary notification, regulatory compliance and potential third-party claims.
