Matthew Harney, Ph.D. joined Keller and Heckman in 2011.
Dr. Harney is a Staff Scientist specializing in chemical and regulatory issues. His work focuses on the commercialization of new and existing chemicals under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), Canadian Environmental Protection Act 1999 (CEPA), and other international regulatory systems. His areas of expertise include polymer science, coatings, organic/organometallic chemistry and chemical nomenclature.
After receiving his Ph.D. in polymer and organometallic chemistry, he conducted postdoctoral research in chemical/biological weapons defense and materials science at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory. Prior to joining Keller and Heckman, he worked in the defense industry as an employee of SAIC, where he conducted research and field tests concerning explosives detection and sensor development.
