Reinier R. Smit is an energetic and driven attorney with proven experience in both engineering and law. He was born and raised in central New Jersey and attended Temple University in Philadelphia, where he majored in mechanical engineering with a minor in bioengineering. After earning his undergraduate degree, Reinier pursued his law degree at Widener University Delaware Law School. Reinier moved to Charlotte in March 2020.
As a former rower for the Temple University Division 1 Men’s Crew team, Reinier enjoys staying active in his spare time. He plays goalie in soccer for three teams in Charlotte, hikes the Appalachian Mountain trails, and rides his bicycle throughout his neighborhood. Reinier’s newest hobby involves flying his DJI Phantom 4 drone to capture stunning quality pictures and video.
