Stacy Tecklin focuses her practice on advising hedge funds, broker-dealers and other financial institutions on legal issues relating to the purchase and sale of US and international distressed debt instruments, trade claims and all aspects of secondary loan and derivatives trading. She has extensive experience analyzing credit and security agreements, restructuring agreements and counsels clients regarding the trading of special situation and loan restructuring proceeds, such as private equity and trust interests. Stacy also trains client closing teams on the use of market-standard documentation.

Stacy has more than twenty years of legal experience as both a distressed debt and corporate attorney and was general counsel of a portfolio company responsible for advising its board of directors on a wide range of legal issues. While in law school, she served as editor of the Hofstra Law Review.

Stacy is a member of the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA).
