Troy Chinnici focuses his practice on professional liability, including accountants, attorneys, insurance agents, real estate agents, technology and media professionals, consultants, brokers, and architects and engineers. In addition, Troy handles issues involving directors and officers liability and insurance coverage matters. 

Troy works closely with his clients to ensure they receive a comprehensive and cost-effective defense. He builds a rapport with the professionals he defends and skillfully guides them toward favorable outcomes. From inception through completion, Troy assesses and reassesses each claim, exploring and pursuing creative strategies to protect his clients’ interests. He has litigated actions in Illinois, Indiana and Southern California. 

Prior to joining Wilson Elser, Troy gained substantial trial experience, representing insurers and businesses in high-value, complex litigation. He enjoys analyzing complex issues, interpreting the law and zealously advocating on behalf of his clients. Troy cultivated his litigation skills early-on during his academic career while serving as an extern with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s Division of Enforcement.
