Here are the most recent health care related regulatory developments as published in the New Jersey Register on March 4, 2013:

  • On March 4, 2013 at 45 N.J.R. 397, the Department of Community Affairs published notice of its proposed amendments to its rule and the proposal of new rules which would increase the record retention period for rooming and boarding houses used exclusively for the care of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related disorders.
  • On March 4, 2013 at 45 N.J.R. 435, the State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners published notice of its proposal of new rules that will establish standards for licensed marriage and family therapists and licensed professional counselors to provide custody/parenting time and termination of parental rights evaluations.
  • On March 4, 2013 at 45 N.J.R. 439, the State Board of Pharmacy published notice of its proposed amendments to its rules and the proposal of new rules governing the compounding of sterile and non-sterile preparations in both retail and institutional pharmacy practice settings.
  • On March 4, 2013 at 45 N.J.R. 469, the Department of Corrections published notice of its adoption of a new rule governing the preparation of medical discharge summaries for inmates prior to their release.
  • On March 4, 2013 at 45 N.J.R. 469, the State Board of Optometrists published notice of its adoption of amendments to its rules governing the requirements for issuing prescriptions and dispensing medications.
