Professional Biography

Chris focuses his practice on environmental litigation in the West Coast.

Prior to joining B&D, Chris served as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Snohomish County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, representing the State of Washington in felony and misdemeanor criminal cases. He began his environmental law career as a Legal Intern at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Region 4, where he produced memos on public trust, hazardous waste management, and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) liability

Chris uses his scientific experience to inform his legal practice and is passionate about blending these two disciplines. Before his legal career, Chris worked as a marine biologist studying sharks in The Bahamas and salmonids in California. During this time, he co-authored a scientific publication analyzing the migratory patterns of great hammerhead sharks.

Chris also served as a law clerk for the United States Attorney's Office in the District of Oregon, drafting research memos for civil and criminal cases.

Outside of the office, Chris enjoys hiking, sailing, and SCUBA diving.
