David Kight is a Shareholder in the Kansas City office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Mr. Kight’s practice focuses primarily on non-compete and trade secret enforcement.  Mr. Kight represents some of the largest employers in the country from diverse industries.  His representation includes drafting, analysis and enforcement of restrictive covenants in employment and franchise agreements.  His experience in his field has enabled him to prevail on his clients’ behalf in some of the most challenging jurisdictions across the country.  In addition to his non-compete practice, Mr. Kight also has significant experience in employment and traditional labor matters where he has years of highly-successful experience defeating union organizing attempts.  He also assists his clients with management of existing union relationships.  Mr. Kight is licensed to practice in Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas and has obtained his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) certification. He is a recognized and author and speaker on employment, labor and social media issues.
