Jacob is an Associate in Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department. A former Assistant District Attorney, Jacob draws upon his extensive trial experience in representing a diverse group of clients in state and federal courts. Those matters have included litigation to protect trade secrets, enforce restrictive covenants, and resolve complex commercial disputes.

In addition to litigation, Jacob counsels a variety of clients on regulatory and compliance matters and has conducted extensive internal investigations in response to compliance concerns. As part of those investigations, Jacob has conducted dozens of interviews with witnesses and directed the collection and analysis of evidence, including digital forensic evidence. Jacob also often represents individual clients in connection with cyber-security and data-breach responses.

Before joining the firm, Jacob was an Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia, where he tried numerous jury and bench trials. He also directed investigations, evaluated cases for charging decisions, presented cases to grand juries, and when appropriate, negotiated dispositions by plea.

Jacob received his J.D. from The University of Pennsylvania Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The Johns Hopkins University.
