Julio Mendez, Ph.D., is a technology specialist in the Litigation Department, and a member of the Life Sciences Patent practice.

Prior to joining Proskauer, Julio was a patent agent at Cooley, LLP in the Patent Prosecution and Litigation Department, where he focused on prosecuting applications in numerous fields of biotechnology. He was also engaged in the assessment of various intellectual property initiatives of several inventors.

Julio has extensive experience in biomedical research. During his time at Yale University as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering, he was involved in several research initiatives, including a project that led to forming a compound integral to submitting an application of an investigational new drug to the FDA.
