Kristopher Peters is an associate in the White Plains, New York, office of Jackson Lewis P.C. Focusing primarily on business immigration matters, Kris helps companies obtain sponsorship for their most important asset: their people. He takes a big picture approach to his client’s issues, making sure to understand their needs in the context of the larger business.

In today’s global environment there are numerous factors that go into identifying, hiring and retaining the best talent out there and the legal system is among them. Kris assists multi-national corporations transfer essential personnel across borders, helps clients hire individuals considered among the top of their field, assists both companies and employees navigate the various paths to green card sponsorship, and provides guidance in the day-to-day considerations associated with hiring and employing foreign talent. This includes in the areas of I-9 compliance, corporate restructuring, and the interplay between U.S. and foreign law.  

Kris also provides general preventative advice and counseling into various workplace law matters as they arise, ranging from claims of discrimination to compliance with current and evolving disability and accommodations laws in the workplace.
