Lisa Ju is Counsel in K&L Gates' Research Triangle Park office. She is a member of the Asset Management and Investment Funds practice area.  She focuses her practice on advising investment advisers on the legal and regulatory aspects of their operations.

Prior to joining the firm, Lisa served as a director and senior counsel at a global asset management firm where she provided all aspects of legal support relating to the marketing and distribution of private funds, including counseling on marketing and advertising related matters. She has assisted US and non-US investment advisers navigate the laws and regulations governing the offering of investment advisory services and private funds on a cross-border basis, including adviser licensing and fund registration requirements. Lisa also has extensive experience negotiating placement and distribution agreements with respect to privately placed funds.  Before that, Lisa was an associate in the investment management group of an international law firm where she advised fund managers on fund formation and regulatory matters.
