Stephen J. Quezada

Stephen is a shareholder in Ogletree Deakins’ Houston office and is Board Certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Stephen focuses primarily on representing public and private employers before federal and state courts and administrative agencies that enforce a variety of labor and employment laws. He has tried and arbitrated matters to jury verdict/award involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and arbitrated labor grievances pursuant to collective bargaining agreements.

Stephen also assists client with work authorization (Form I-9) compliance, including representation before Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), internal Form I-9 audits, and work authorization/Form I-9 training.

Stephen also regularly speaks and trains on a variety of employment topics to groups of executives, managers, and non-management employees.

Stephen is fluent in Spanish and is able to assist clients with large Spanish-speaking workforces in investigations and training.

Stephen received his J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center, where he served as an articles editor on the Houston Business & Tax Law Journal. He received his B.B.A., summa cum laude, in accounting from the University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business.
